Dr. Mala Raj
graduated from Kilpauk Medical College
in the year 1992 and acquired post graduate
diploma from Sri Ramachandra Medical College
in the year 1997. She developed a keen
interest for Endoscopic Surgery and did
her Diploma in Endoscopic Surgery from
the University of Kiel (Germany) in the
year 2004.
Her special skill is Total Laparoscopic
Hysterectomy and to date has done more
than 1000 cases of Laparoscopic Hysterectomy.
She is the recipient of Dr. Siuli Rudra
Sinha award for the best paper in Gynaec
Endoscopy at the All India Obstetric &
Gynaecological Congress held at Cochin
in the year 2006.
She is a teaching faculty for the Ethicon
Institute, where she teaches the post
graduates & practitioners the nuances
of Laparoscopic surgery. At present she
is the consultant of the City Tower Hospitals
& Director of Family Medical Centre
and visiting laparoscopic surgeon of Chennai
Port Trust Hospital.Her positive attitude
to adapt to challenges ,coupled with her
ability to bring in sincerity and hard
work are her strengths to achieve the
professional excellence.
Member of FOGSI, could attend major programmes
conducted. Also by being an active member
of the Indian Association of Gynecological
Endoscopist, International Gynec Endoscopy
Association and Indian Menopausal Society,
Indian society for assisted reproduction
, have interacted with some of the distinguished
members of this faculty and presented papers.
